Friday preview: US consumer confidence, UK retail sales in focus
(Sharecast News) - The market spotlight at the end of the week will continue to be on the US, where a flurry of economic indicators are due out. Chief amongst those will be the preliminary results for the University of Michigan's consumer confidence survey covering the month of August at 1400 BST.
Earlier, at 1230 BST, the Department of Commerce will publish figures covering housing starts and building permits in July.
On home shores, at 0600 BST the Office for National Statistics will release retail sales data for that same month (consensus: 0.5% month-on-month).
