Friday preview: Nationwide house price data; CaixaBank and Danske report
(Sharecast News) - Friday looked set to be a quiet one on the UK corporate front, but Nationwide's house price data for October will be released at 0700 GMT. In Europe, third-quarter results are due from CaixaBank and Danske Bank.
UBS said it expects Danske to report Q3 underlying pre-tax profit of DKK7.2 bn, down 2% compared to the second quarter and 7% compared to the same period last year.
"We expect revenues to continue to benefit from credit growth and its interest rate hedges, but see normal Q3 seasonality having a somewhat dampening effect," UBS said.
"We do not expect Danske Bank to change guidance, for 2025 or 2026, in conjunction with results. Overall we would expect a relatively uneventful quarter in terms of P&L but highlight that capital is expected to be weak given a temporary 50 bps insurance related headwind."
Compared to consensus forecasts, UBS said its forecasts are marginally below in Q3 on the back of lower non-interest income.
Elsewhere, eurozone inflation data for October will also be in focus at 1000 GMT.
