Hargreave began his career in investments in 1969, joining James Capel as an analyst. In 1995 he formed his own investment management business, Hargreave Hale Investment Management before opening a London office and becoming chairman at family stockbroking firm Hargreave Hale Limited. Since then Hargreave reputation within the industry has grown and with the help of his team performance with the Marlborough Special Situations Fund has excelled to sector beating levels.


Guy, a graduate of Oxford University, has over 20 years City experience dedicated to the research and fund management of small and mid-cap equities. He joined the investment team in 2003 and has a particular focus on the tech sector and other New Economy and growth companies. Guy co-manages the Marlborough UK Micro-Cap Growth Fund with Giles Hargreave.
