Phil Milburn is an investment manager in the fixed income team. He joined Kames Capital in 1997 from the University of Edinburgh, where he earned a first class honours degree in Economics. After spells in UK and Latin American equities, Phil joined the fixed income team, where he now manages strategic and high yield bond portfolios . Phil is also an integral member of the Investment Association Fixed Income Committee, helping lead on many industry initiatives.


Prior to founding Harvest in 2004, Roberts managed the Northern Large Cap Value Fund from its inception in 2000 until 2004. During his tenure as manager, the fund grew from $1mm in assets to over $800mm and achieved a 5-Star rating from Morningstar. His nearly 20-year career has been focused exclusively on picking large-cap value stocks with dividend yields, and his opinions on this area of the market have been regularly sought by media outlets including CNBC, Business Week, and The Times (London).
