Rob Giles is Director of UK Smaller Companies at Lombard Odier Investment Managers and is lead or co-lead manager on the range of Volantis product set. He moved to Lombard Odier with the Volantis team in 2017 having joined Henderson in 2011 as part of the acquisition of Gartmore. Rob joined Gartmore to set up Volantis in 2002. He began his career at Coutts & Co in 1986 working within the investment department as an assistant fund manager. He left in 1996 to join Singer & Friedlander where he continued to manage a large book of high net worth discretionary clients. Rob is a member of the Securities Institute.


Adam McConkey is head of the Volantis team that moved to Lombard Odier Investment Managers in 2017. Adam joined Henderson in 2011 as part of the acquisition of Gartmore where he was a fund manager for more than decade and in 2010 became head of UK smaller companies team. He is a long standing advocate of the active engagement and stewardship agenda has recently joined the board of the Quoted Companies Alliance. Adam has a bachelors degree in politics and economics, a Ph.D. in international relations and before entering the fund management industry was a university lecturer in politics and economics.
