Alastair is Head of the Contrarian team at Investec Asset Management having joined in August 2000 from Morley Fund Management. Alastair manages a number of retail funds including the award winning Investec Cautious Managed Fund, Investec UK Special Situations Fund and Investec Capital Accumulator Fund, and also manages the Temple Bar Investment Trust. Alastair graduated from City University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science.

Fund Objective The Fund aims to provide a combination of income and long term capital growth by investing conservatively in a diversified portfolio of equities, bonds and other fixed interest securities of high quality and marketability. At all times the Fund's equity exposure will be limited to a maximum of 60 percent of the portfolio value.
