Investment objective
The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve capital appreciation by creating a professionally managed portfolio consisting of what, in the opinion of the Investment Manager, are high quality long-term growth companies having their headquarters or carrying out their predominant activities in any European country with the exception of the United Kingdom.

Why we like the fund: This is a fairly concentrated fund investing in companies across Europe (excluding the UK). It owns companies that the managers believe offer high quality characteristics such as an established brand, or a unique product or technology, that enables them to generate higher-than-average margins over the long term. Comgest is skilled at finding such companies and investing in them within this fund. How to use the fund: For investors seeking an exposure to Europe, and who have a long-term horizon, this fund represents a sensible choice on the riskier side of a portfolio. This fund and Schroder European Recovery should blend well because they invest using quite different approaches.
