Our view
The aim of the JOHCM European Select Values Fund is to seek long-term capital growth. It is run by experienced portfolio manager, Robrecht Wouters.
Wouters looks for two types of value in European equities: 'classic' and 'quality'. 'Classic value' companies are those which are under-priced by the market because they generate low returns, while 'quality value' consist of 'great companies at average prices'.
Wouters particularly likes businesses with healthy free cash flows; the cash left to distribute to investors after the firm has paid its expenses and invested in its physical infrastructure.
