Our view
The ASI Global Inflation-Linked Bond Fund objective is to outperform the global inflation linked government bond index via active cross market trade ideas. This fund is managed by Adam Skerry.
Skerry argues that index-linked bonds offer protection to a traditional bond portfolio when there is the expectation of rising inflation.
Standard Life has been involved in the inflation-linked asset class since its inception, and governments often ask the firm to advise them on their inflation programmes. The manager believes that this expertise gives them an ‘incisive edge' over less-experienced fund managers.
