A region full of opportunities

The EMEA region covers 80 countries. It is home to over 1.5 billion people and has one of the fastest growing and youthful populations in the world.1 The EMEA economies are some of the world’s most dynamic, having enjoyed a sustained period of economic growth. Since 2000 economic growth of this region has been at least twice that of western Europe and the US 2 – and they are generally under-represented in many investors’ portfolios. This could be because the individual stock markets are relatively small. However, the combined strength of so many varied economies makes this a region with significant investment potential.

The region also:

  • contains over 82% of the world’s proven oil reserves3
  • is rich in other natural resources such as platinum, chromium and iron ore
  • has over half of the world’s 20 fastest growing cities4
  • is experiencing strong economic growth and rising consumer spending
  • has delivered exceptional returns over the last five years5

Fund management
