Educational initiatives

Fidelity prides itself on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.  We are particularly keen to support initiatives in the community that focus on education and development, through cash donations and employees' skills and time

We aim to provide younger people with the skills and confidence they need to develop into responsible and individual corporate citizens, and help them make informed choices about their future.

Criteria

We give support to initiatives that reflect our values and areas of expertise:
  • Financial education - projects that reflect our expertise, encouraging greater knowledge and understanding about longer term financial planning and investments.
  • Enterprise education -  projects that enable young people to have a greater knowledge and understanding about the world of business.
  • Literacy -   initiatives that aim to improve literacy levels.  We work closely with local schools through our reading partner schemes.
  • Arts and culture - through our outreach programme, we are committed to providing access for the local community to arts and culture, particularly for young people who might otherwise not have the opportunity.

Other areas of interest include projects that enhance young people's understanding of technology and support them in planning their careers and developing future aspirations.

We do not make cash donations to individual schools, instead preferring to fund projects that benefit several schools or to offer employees' time and skills.
