Changes to the Client Management login process

If you have received a letter notifying you of changes to the way you login to Client Management, please read on.  When you login, you will automatically be taken through the new login process.  You can also refer to the relevant User Guides below to help you set up your new individual login.

If you have not yet received your notification you do not need to do anything at this time. When it is time for your firm to change to the new process, you will be notified by letter.

We take the security of our online services very seriously. Ever since the launch of our Client Management service we have used the most up-to-date software available to protect adviser and investor details. There are over 100,000 logins to Client Management every month and the changes we have made to the process will ensure that we keep pace with advances in security technology to better protect you and your clients from any possible security breaches.

Here are the changes we’ll be making to the way you login:

  • An Individual Login ID for each adviser/administrator - Every user of our Client Management service will have a unique login id.  This is an 8 digit number known as the consultant id.  You may already have one, but many advisers log in with a Unique Adviser Number (UAN) which is shared by all at the same firm.
  • Longer PIN - A PIN will be used as your password.  This will now need to be between 6 and 8 digits long, previously it could be 4 to 6 digits.
  • Self Service Forgotten PIN - In case you forget your PIN we will ask you to provide us with the answers to 4 security questions and provide your email address.  These questions will be used to check your identity before a temporary PIN is emailed to you.
  • Administration of users is delegated to firms - Each firm will need to designate two ‘Firm Administrators’ who will be responsible for the set up and amendment of consultant details, and assisting you with PIN resets.

In order to make the process as easy as possible, we have produced 2 User Guides, one for Advisers and one for Firm Administrators.  These guides are available using the links below.  Please use them to help you through the changes.  If you experience any problems, or you need to speak to us about the changes, please contact us.
